What we charge for

An APC covers the cost of editorial handling, peer review coordination, copy-editing, typesetting (XML, HTML, PDF), DOI registration, hosting, and long-term preservation. The journal does not charge submission fees.

Invited contributions

Editorials, invited reviews, and invited commentary are free of charge.

Waivers

Full and partial waivers are available for:

• Authors based at institutions in low- and lower-middle-income countries (Research4Life Group A and B).
• Authors with no available institutional or grant funding for an APC.
• Authors of work the editorial team considers of exceptional public-health significance.

Waivers must be requested before submission. The journal will not reject a manuscript for inability to pay an APC.

Exposome's open access model is compliant with Plan S, NIH Public Access Policy, UKRI Open Access Policy, and Wellcome Trust Open Access Policy.
