Exposome targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance. We treat accessibility as a baseline requirement, not an enhancement.

What we've done

• Skip-to-content link, semantic landmarks, ARIA labels.
• Focus-visible outlines on all interactive elements.
• Keyboard-dismissable dropdowns and modals.
• Sufficient colour contrast against background.
• Article body uses semantic structure (h2/h3, lists, table captions, figcaptions).

Known limitations

• Article PDFs are author-supplied; PDF accessibility varies.
• Historical articles (Volumes 1–6, OUP-published) inherit OUP's accessibility level.
